Conjuration Spells

Magic from the School of Conjuration is used to create what isn't, at least temporarily. There are three very common effects from this school:

• Bound items: creates and equips a Daedric item of whatever type for the specified period. Bound items typically have no weight, but you still need the appropriate skill to use them effectively. For example, a Bound Bow is way cool, but if your Marksman skill is at 5, you're not going to be able to use it very well. At the end of the specified time, the item will disappear from your inventory. If it's a weapon, remember to equip another one. Bound items can be unequipped, but they cannot be sold or dropped from inventory.
• Summon <creature>: causes a creature of the specified type to appear near you and fight the nearest opponent. Summoned critters make great cannon-fodder.
• Turn Undead: a percentage chance that an undead creature will run away for the specified period of time. Don't worry, they'll probably come back. Just leave a little kibble out for them.

The following table lists the spells that can be purchased from the Mages Guild. Since the Guildhall in Chorrol specializes in Conjuration, you should be able to buy most, if not all, of these spells there. Except for the four spells with the Turn Undead effect, you'll need to buy each spell if you want to use any of these effects in the Spell Maker. For using the Turn Undead effect in the Spell Maker, all you need is the Novice-level "Turn Undead".

Spell range, magnitude and duration have been verified in-game and some of it is contrary to the Prima Guide. You can pretty much take my range, magnitude and duration as gospel until Bethesda issues a patch that may or may not change everything.

For a cheapie practice spell, make a short-duration (a couple of seconds) Bound Dagger spell and just keep casting it.
